Shopper-facing

What your customers experience

The shopper's experience is frictionless by design. No app, no account, no queue, no receipt printer.

No app required

Shoppers open Leav directly in their mobile browser via a QR code or short URL. Safari, Chrome, and all major browsers are supported. Zero download friction at the door.

Live barcode scanning

The shopper's camera becomes a barcode scanner. Item name and price appear instantly from your Shopify catalog. Supports 1D and 2D barcodes including GS1 formats.

Apple Pay and Google Pay

One-tap payment with Apple Pay and Google Pay. Credit and debit card support via Shopify Payments. Payment confirmation delivered in under 5 seconds.

Digital receipt

On confirmation, shoppers receive a digital receipt on-screen and optionally via email. No printer required at the exit point. No paper waste.

Multi-item cart management

Shoppers can remove items, adjust quantities, and see a running total throughout their shopping session before committing to payment.

Promotions and discounts

Shoppers can apply Shopify discount codes and automatic promotions during checkout. All discounts sync from your existing Shopify admin. No separate promo management needed.

Store operations

What runs behind your checkout counter

Leav integrates with Shopify at the operations layer, keeping your inventory, orders, and loss prevention data in one place.

Real-time inventory sync

Every Leav checkout decrements inventory in your Shopify admin in real time. No batch reconciliation. No lag. Stock counts stay accurate across all your sales channels.

Checkout analytics

Session volume, basket size, completion rate, and average checkout time. Available by hour, day, location, and product. Exportable to your BI tools via CSV or API.

Staff alert dashboard

When the AI exit verification layer flags a session, your staff receives an alert on the Leav dashboard. Configurable threshold, escalation rules, and shift-end summary reports.

Multi-location support

Manage two or more store locations from a single Leav account. Each location has its own QR code, inventory feed, and analytics view. Permissions by location or role.

API access

Full REST API for checkout session data, analytics export, and alert configuration. Webhook support for order events. Documented at the Growth tier and above.

Shopify POS compatibility

Leav runs alongside your existing Shopify POS. Cashiers keep working the same way. Leav sessions appear as regular Shopify orders. No parallel system to reconcile.

Loss prevention

The AI verification layer

Leav's exit verification layer is the feature that makes self-checkout viable for general merchandise and grocery. Here is how it works.

1

Item count captured at exit

When the shopper reaches the exit gate, Leav uses the shopper's device camera to count items in the basket. The count is compared against the number of scanned items in the completed cart.

2

Threshold comparison

You configure an acceptable tolerance in your Leav dashboard. Mismatches within tolerance pass automatically. Mismatches above threshold generate a staff alert within 3 seconds.

3

Staff intervention when needed

The alert shows the session ID, the shopper's cart, and the count discrepancy. Staff can approve, escalate, or mark for follow-up. All alerts are logged in the loss prevention report.

4

Weekly shrinkage report

Leav generates a weekly loss prevention summary with flagged session counts, resolution rates, and estimated shrinkage value. Breakdowns by location and time of day are included.
